Neil and Mary are now pleased to announce the launch of their well known painting holidays in Clarens. Clarens is a beautiful village in the North Eastern Free-State well known for its spectacular views and art galleries. So why not take a well deserved break from the hustle and bustle of city life and join Neil & Mary for a few wonderful days of right brain activity. THE PROGRAM
Escape the everyday and join us for an inspiring art course set in a beautiful natural environment. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this holiday is about creativity, learning, and enjoying the process at your own pace. You'll be encouraged to develop your own style while working with guidance and support.
The course covers the fundamentals of painting and drawing, including composition, colour mixing using the colour wheel, tonal values, light and shadow, and basic perspective. There are practical exercises to sharpen observation skills, and you'll get advice on setting up your own creative space at home.
Neil provides live demonstrations throughout the course and offers individual assistance to each participant. You'll have time to create both indoors and outdoors, using the natural surroundings as inspiration.
Outside of the studio, you're free to enjoy a variety of activities. Options include golf, white water rafting, quad biking, horse riding, trout fishing, and scenic hikes. Whether you want to unwind in nature or seek a bit of adventure, there's something for everyone.
